Modal Harmony
 Overview
Our duo Modal Harmony consists of Kees Payens (classical guitar) and
Robyn Payens (flute) that plays for weddings, corporate functions and
other events in the following styles of music – classical, contemporary,
popular, Latin or jazz. We can also play as a trio with Kees, Robyn and
Sharyn Payens (vocals).
Modal Harmony will play for functions in south east Queensland and
northern New South Wales covering towns as far as Stanthorpe, Toowoomba,
Noosa, Coolangatta, Tweed Heads and the greater Brisbane area.
Modal Harmony has its own high quality equipment. We own and operate
our own small PA system to suit the gig and venue.
Modal Harmony details:
- Kees Payens - classical / acoustic / electric guitar; Trinity College
of London (grade 7); 30 years professional experience in classical,
jazz, popular and Latin idioms in Queensland and South Australia.
- Robyn Payens - flute; AMEB (grade 6); 20 years professional experience
in classical and Latin idioms in Queensland and South Australia with
husband Kees.
- Sharyn Payens - vocals; has trained with professional jazz teachers in
Brisbane; major vocal roles in school musicals; lead vocalist with
school big band (20 musicians); various concerts with parents Kees &
Robyn.
